don’t know how that all works out..but by thursday night i’ll be back in the great midwest :)
today was the last day at GSA. it is hardly conceivable that I will be home a week from today. this semester has quickly blown by. I have experienced a world-renowned art school and successfully passed this term.
over the past few months I have really become quite close to this country, the people, and the lifestyle it has presented for me. I am attempting to truly appreciate how lucky I have been in the friends I’ve made and experiences I have had, but it is all too real now-it will not be until I am across the ocean again to fully realize how monumental this has been. I’m sure it will hit me like a ton of bricks.
phrases such as “hey ya” “can’t be bothered” “cheeky wee minx” “silly sausage” “neeps and tatties” “hob” “marks and sparks” “right, okay” and hearing “ei” after every other word in a conversation, will be much missed.
I’ve already said one goodbye-and do not relish the rest :(
hey, look how my hair has grown

“The subjectivity of humanity is de-subjectified or subjected to the subjectivity of capital; the commodity form subjects labour to the self-valorization of capital – capital’s autonomous or subject-like self-determination.”
